Oncourse (Customer Service) Operator - Port Augusta, SA

What you’ll do  

Primarily working at different race tracks in and around Port Augusta, the Oncourse Operator is a customer service role and is responsible for delivering an exceptional experience by providing an accurate, efficient and friendly betting and information service to all customers. We want to leave a lasting impression to ensure we are front of mind for all of their future betting needs!

You will be required to attend a variety of race events around Port Augusta, Port Pirie and Clare.

*This position would require availability of approx. 1 shift per month. Rostering is dictated by a racing calendar and will vary. (More availability will be required for the Spring Racing carnival).

  • Place bets and provide information for all Racing and Sports products (some of these products include fixed odds options)
  • Assist customers with using our new Ap
  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to all customers
  • Provide general information such as scratchings, track conditions, events and bet types.
  • Comply with regulations and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Ensure accurate cash control and be security minded at all times
  • Assist with training as required

This is a fun, exciting and social role where you will be on site at the tracks and part of the racing action!

*Some roles at Tabcorp require checks prior to joining for regulatory, security or safety and you must be at least 18 years of age and have a current driver’s licence/own motor vehicle.

What you’ll bring 

  • Customer service experience and a client-centric mentality with the ability to build customer loyalty
  • Ability to work independently/unsupervised
  • Strong Tech/smart phones knowledge to assist customers with our new ap
  • Aptitude to problem solve by translating and interpreting information
  • Ability to quickly comprehend and translate information to assist customers placing a bet
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Cash handling experience highly regarded

This role would suit someone with an interest in the racing industry, or perhaps you are looking for a flexible role to fit in with other work/family commitments, or an opportunity to keep busy, travel and earn some extra cash along the way!  We are open to a variety of industry experience, as the key to success in this role is your customer service skills, commitment, and reliability to travel.
