What you’ll do 

This role involves the repairing of a defined product set, to component level, whilst maintaining acceptable capacity and high standards of repairs. Your focus is to perform repairs whilst learning the ability to diagnose and repair technical faults in a cost-effective manner, using acquired business judgement and seeking advice from Supervisors/Management to scrap items that are BER or no longer required in the business.

You will:

  • Under Direct Supervision, perform repairs on equipment up to a prescribed level, assigning taught priorities to the repair of a variety of products required to ensure MaxTech’s SLA’s are achieved, and to maintain workshop product production.
  • Participate in a learning capacity in the regular reviews of faulty stock within your assigned area within the Repair Centre, learning techniques to assess, and repair, scrap or move to long term storage, ensuring BER processes are being followed.
  • Under Direct Supervision, employ demonstrated repair techniques to ensure repairs are performed effectively and efficiently to contribute to the profitable performance of the workshop, with a focus towards continual improvement.
  • Always operate within Tatts Group policies and procedures.
  • Attend, and successfully complete, scheduled Technical Training at selected RTO.
  • Constructively work with other internal staff to ensure the best outcomes for the business.
  • As required, participate in cross-training programs to ensure our staff has the appropriate skills services within Tatts Group.

What you’ll bring 

The willingness to learn repair techniques required to repair electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies, with the following attributes:

  • Successful completion of Yr 12 or Equivalent.
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to follow established and documented maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to learn the technical aspect of parts and find basic faults.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships across business and technology teams.
