Ready to shape how risk and controls are strengthened across one of Australia’s most recognised entertainment brands? In this role, you’ll help improve confidence in key business processes by providing meaningful assurance, insights, and recommendations. Working across diverse stakeholders, you’ll influence better decision-making, strengthen governance, and play a key role in how TAB manages risk in a fast-moving environment.
Your role in action
Reporting to the Controls and Quality Assurance Manager, you’ll lead assurance activities that identify opportunities to strengthen controls and improve business outcomes. Your work will influence stakeholders across the organisation and support a proactive risk culture.
- Lead & Deliver controls assurance reviews across key business processes
- Conduct walkthroughs to assess risks and control environments
- Develop and execute control testing plans
- Partner with stakeholders to agree practical actions
- Draft clear reports with meaningful business insights
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Controls Assurance framework, methodologies, and quality standard
- Monitor remediation progress and influence timely outcomes
- Support the uplift of risk and controls capability across the business through coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing
What you'll need to succeed
You’re an analytical and commercially minded professional who enjoys solving complex problems and building strong stakeholder relationships. You bring a balanced approach to risk, governance, and business improvement.
- Experienced in controls assurance, risk, or internal audit
- Strong capability in stakeholder engagement and influencing
- Proven ability to identify root causes and solutions
- Ability to identify control gaps, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities
- Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks and control effectiveness assessment methodologies
- Experience facilitating discussions and workshops with business leaders
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate risk concepts into practical actions
- Experience preparing clear and concise reports
- Experience operating within regulated or highly controlled environments would be advantageous, particularly gambling
