What you’ll be doing:
The Marketing Operations Planning Specialist plays a crucial role in scheduling, coordinating, and optimising marketing activities for Virgin Australia Group's frequent flyer loyalty program. This position ensures structured planning and alignment across teams while delivering optimal and timely communication experiences for members and guests. As the central owner of the marketing calendar across all channels, the Specialist orchestrates cohesive marketing initiatives that drives member engagement. The role also focusses on optimising planning processes, communication orchestration and supporting holistic member experience reporting across channels.
You’ll be great in this role if you:
- Have considerable experience in marketing operations, preferably in dynamic multi-channel environments
- Can demonstrate experience in marketing planning, traffic management or project management in fast-paced environments
- Have strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate complex initiatives
- Are a natural indirect leader with the ability to influence across teams and levels
- Come with excellent analytical skills with data-driven decision-making ability
- Have experience across marketing/channel calendar management and process improvement, and the ability to prioritise across initiatives
- Have experience in technology transformation projects and redefining operational processes
- Have a high level of knowledge and understanding of marketing and business processes along with an in-depth understanding of digital marketing channels
- Have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
- Have change management experience, particularly related to technology implementation (desirable)
- Are an expert with marketing automation platforms and planning tools (desirable)
- Understand the customer journey orchestration and personalisation strategies (desirable)
