The Virgin Australia Group Flight Operations division provides the strategic direction for Flight Operations within Virgin Australia by setting the standards, policies and processes and by engaging with other organisations to support the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft within the scope of the Air Operators Certificate.
The Flight Operations Services department establishes and maintains superior standards for the operation of Virgin Australia aircraft through the provision of high quality data, systems and processes supporting aircraft performance and weight and balance with the objective of transporting customers and other payload in a safe, compliant, efficient and reliable manner in accordance with the airline’s operating schedule and to a defined standard of service delivery.
The Flight Operations Engineer role:
The Flight Operations Engineer is responsible for analysis, development, maintenance, and co-ordination of company processes supporting the functions of Aircraft Performance and Weight & Balance for all airlines within the Virgin Australia Group.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A high level of understanding and experience in the interpretation of Legislation, Regulations and Orders as applicable to aviation;
- Familiarity and experience as an intermediate user of the MS Office Suite of applications; and
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in the English language.
