What you’ll be doing:
Virgin Australia is growing, and we’re expanding our SME Sales team. We’re offering multiple opportunities across Sydney and Brisbane for experienced sales professionals who thrive on relationship-building and commercial impact.
These roles sit at different points of the customer journey spanning new business acquisition, onboarding and re‑engagement, and portfolio growth. If you enjoy owning outcomes, uncovering opportunity, and partnering with customers to drive mutual success, you’ll feel right at home here.
In these roles, you’ll play a key part in the success of Virgin Australia’s Business Flyer program. Whether you’re winning new SME customers, reactivating dormant accounts, or expanding an established portfolio, you’ll help shape our growth and strengthen long-term client relationships.
In these roles, you will:
- Own and manage a portfolio of SME accounts, building trusted relationships and identifying sustainable growth opportunities.
- Proactively engage prospects and existing customers to drive sign‑ups, retention, and portfolio value.
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales and performance targets, with a focus on quality, profitable revenue.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of our SME customer and revenue growth strategy.
- Maintain strong client engagement through regular outreach across phone, email, meetings, and events.
- Work collaboratively within a high-performing team to meet SLAs and support broader revenue and customer experience objectives.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and deliver tailored, value-led solutions with confidence and accuracy.
- Represent Virgin Australia at industry and networking events, building brand presence and meaningful partnerships.
- Stay up to date across Virgin Australia’s product suite to provide informed, credible advice to customers.
Please note: This is a 12‑month fixed-term opportunity.
You’ll be great in this role if you have:
- Proven sales experience with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong capability in identifying new business opportunities, converting leads, and growing existing customer portfolios.
- A natural ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-term, value-based client relationships.
- Demonstrated success in upselling and cross-selling to maximise commercial outcomes.
- A results-driven mindset with a proactive, opportunity-led approach to sales.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor your message to different stakeholders.
- Experience managing a high-volume sales pipeline while delivering against KPIs and performance metrics.
