About the role:

The Revenue Management team is expanding, and we have an exciting new opportunity.

Based out of the Virgin Australia HQ in South Brisbane, as the Leader, Pricing Strategy you will provide leadership to the Pricing Strategy Analyst team in implementing pricing strategies to achieve extraordinary results. Your focus will involve proactively developing strategic pricing options, analysing Virgin Australia’s competitive positioning, supporting the Manager, Pricing Strategy and developing the broader team.

You will be responsible for facilitating collaborative work with multiple departments such as sales and marketing teams to optimise pricing strategies and ensure that campaigns are driving revenue in the right travel periods. This role offers a unique opportunity to directly influence revenue outcomes and contribute to the success of the company.

• Proactively recommend strategic pricing options to Pricing Manager and Revenue Management Leadership for Virgin Australia to maximise return
• Lead the analysis of financial impact to Virgin Australia and competitive positioning
• Develop, refine and lead the approach of reviewing of Virgin Australia pricing settings regularly
• Work collaboratively across multiple departments to optimise pricing campaigns.
• Develop, refine and lead the approach of reviewing Virgin Australia Pricing settings regularly
• Direct support and involvement in key projects impacting Virgin Australia Pricing
• Provide support and coverage for the Manager, Pricing Strategy
• Regular review of processes to ensure risk of errors are reduced across all aspects of pricing
• Conduct regular reviews with key stakeholders to improve efficiency from ideation through to implementation
• Train and develop the broader Pricing Strategy Analyst team

What we're looking for:

• Pricing experience in a dynamic and high frequency environment
• Ability to analyse large volumes of data and transform them into meaningful, actionable insights
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
• Strong stakeholder management
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of Australia Aviation in both the Domestic and International markets
• ATPCo Architect or other airline pricing system experience
• Experience in airline pricing and fare coding via ATPCO
