HV Electrician – Mobile Maintenance
Site - Christmas Creek
Roster – 2/1
FIFO ex Perth
Christmas Creek Iron Ore operation is currently seeking experienced High Voltage Electricians within our Mobile Maintenance team. Reporting to the Haul Truck Supervisor, the successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be testing, repair and maintenance of Komatsu and Terex electric drive haul trucks.
Key accountabilities will include:
The carrying out of maintenance and servicing required on High Voltage electric drive haul trucks under the direction of the Haul Truck Supervisor and to the appropriate Australian and FMG standards and procedures
Diagnostics & Fault Finding
Workshop and Pit duties as required
Reporting and time sheets
Work in conjunction with all Mobile Maintenance teams to achieve 100% schedule compliance.
Ensure all OHS&E procedures and policies are followed
Conduct all activities with a high level of safety and within the FMG procedures and requirements
To provide any continuous improvement suggestions and to operate in a cost effective manner at all times
Qualifications and skills required:
West Australian electrical licence
HV Switching Certificate
Relevant Trade Certificate –Electrician (A Grade)
Current driver’s licence
A demonstrated commitment to safety with the ability to work unsupervised
Field Service/Mine site breakdown/diagnostics on mobile mining equipment
Previous experience on a mine site (highly desirable)
Extensive electrical heavy mobile equipment experience, specifically Komatsu 930E and Terex 4400 haul trucks
High regard for safety essential
Heavy Rigid Driver’s License (desirable)
