HGV Technician

Location: Stanford-le-Hope (On-Site Workshop)
Salary: £20.76 per hour / £45,885 per annum
Plus: London Weighting Allowance - £1,800

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience as an HGV Technician
  • City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, trailers, plant, and workshop equipment
  • Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and follow H&S regulations
  • Team player with strong communication and organisation skills
  • HGV C+E licence (Class 1) and ADR preferred but not essential
  • Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and hold a valid full driving licence.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain, repair, and modify Calor’s fleet of vehicles and trailers
  • Diagnose faults and provide technical solutions
  • Ensure all work complies with strict Health & Safety standards
  • Safely operate workshop tools and equipment
  • Keep accurate records and documentation
  • Deliver high-quality repairs independently and as part of a team
