We're embarking on an enterprise-wide transformation that will enable us to continue making a positive difference to people's lives and keep Queenslanders working.
As a Senior Fraud Investigator, you'll contribute directly to WorkCover's mission by embedding fraud function priorities into our broader 2030 roadmap. management framework, by providing subject matter expertise and advice on fraud risks relevant to WorkCover.
- Supporting the Fraud team through technical guidance and knowledge sharing, helping to embed a proactive risk
management approach aligned with broader organisational goals.
- Conducting analysis of insurance fraud and scam trends to assist in early detection and prevention efforts,
contributing to the reduction of financial losses and compliance with regulatory requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience leading complex fraud, integrity, or regulatory investigations within insurance, government, or financial services
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, evidence handling, privacy obligations, and fraud control frameworks
- Proven ability to prepare clear, evidence-based investigation briefs and executive-level reports
- Experience engaging with law enforcement, regulators, or oversight bodies to progress investigation outcomes
- Strong analytical capability, with experience conducting fraud risk assessments and identifying systemic control gaps
- Tertiary qualifications in law, criminology, investigations, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
