 About the Role:

As a Sustainability Education Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering our sustainability education programs to schools, and the broader community. You will engage with diverse audiences to promote recycling, waste reduction, and environmental conservation. Your ability to communicate complex sustainability concepts in an accessible and engaging way will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver sustainability education programs tailored to different age groups and audiences.
  • Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and councils to drive engagement in recycling and waste management initiatives.
  • Create educational materials, presentations, and workshops that inspire sustainable practices.
  • Conduct site tours, presentations, and workshops on waste management, recycling, and resource recovery.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and provide feedback to improve educational outcomes.
  • Represent Cleanaway at community events, workshops, and sustainability forums.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this role is a passionate educator with a background in teaching and a strong commitment to sustainability. They possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to break down complex environmental concepts into engaging and accessible lessons for diverse audiences.

A background in teaching equips them with strong classroom management, curriculum development, and the ability to adapt content to different learning styles and a genuine passion for sustainability and environmental issues is a must, and they are excited about making a tangible impact in the community.

  • Passionate about sustainability and environmental education.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering educational programs or workshops.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Previous experience in community engagement, sustainability, or environmental sectors is desirable.
