The Opportunity
Reporting to the Production Engineer in the Hydrocarbons Business, this is a fixed term 12-month part-time contract working with operations and maintenance teams with the opportunity for extension or progression into Process Engineer. This role will see you contributing to a wide variety of continuous improvement projects relating to process safety systems and regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will also.
- Assist in the preparation of technical procedures, work instruction, work schedules, estimates and work method statements around work managing and optimising assets
- Support engineering, infrastructure and environment projects to deliver continuous improvement opportunities
- Plant optimisation for improved product yield and quality
- Assist in trouble shooting and investigating process failures
- Report on plant performance and product quality
- Inventory management for the site
- Ensure tasks are completed on time and budget
About You

- An ability to develop safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOP)
- A knowledge of risk assessment processes
- An understanding of process drawings (P&ID, PFD, etc)
- Effective communication skills with the ability to prioritise within a dynamic environment
- Solid organisational and planning skills, with high standards of accuracy and precision
- A degree in Process / Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
