The Opportunity
Based in Karratha, WA, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising employees and work activities to ensure that all operational tasks are completed safely and meet requirements.
- Awareness of how position contributes to the branch collective performance - route/service efficiency, teamwork, superior customer service, timely reporting of issues, and sharing growth opportunities are all examples of how it is contributing to positive financial performance
- Support and implement continuous improvement of labour efficiencies
- Ensure employees complete pre-start checks and post-run checks
- Act on equipment maintenance and servicing issues as scheduled, or as a result of pre-start and/or post-run checks, and order parts and PPE, as required
- Maximise customer service and operational efficiencies through effective supervision
- Investigate and report customer complaints to line management in accordance with requirements
About You
Our ideal candidate will be a people-focused Supervisor from a transport & logistics background with excellent time management skills, with the ability to effectively manage timeframes.
- Industrial/employee relations legislation knowledge
- HS and environmental management systems and legislation
- HR licence is highly desirable
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Supervisory and teamwork, ideally within a unionized environment
- Transport/waste management/logistics and/or recycling industry background
