The Opportunity
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for the retention, strategic new business account growth and commercial optimisation within a portfolio of strategic customers.
This role is focused on protecting and expanding share of wallet through long term partnerships, contract renewals, pricing strategy and cross service solutions. Its an exciting and newly created role based in Townsville to meet the growing needs of the geographical location and unique operating environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Customer and Portfolio Ownership to grow and expand services of your client base
- Manage ongoing Customer Commercial and Financial Performance
- Manage your client base through best practice Governance, Systems and Reporting
About You
You are an experienced Key Account Manager who thrives in complex environments and understands how to balance customer value with commercial outcomes.
You will bring:
- Proven experience managing key or national accounts in a multi service or complex B2B environment
- Strong negotiation, relationship management and influencing capability
- Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen
- A consultative farmer style approach focused on retention and growth
- Strong stakeholder management across internal and external groups
- High discipline in CRM, reporting and account planning
Experience in fmcg, waste, environmental services, logistics, infrastructure or industrial services is highly regarded.
