Commercial Business Partner
The Opportunity
The Commercial Business Partner (CBP) plays a key role in delivering commercial support to the Strategic Business Unit (SBU), partnering closely with the CFM and Regional Management teams to help achieve revenue and profit targets. This role provides critical financial insight, supports decision-making, and drives performance through effective planning, analysis, and business partnering. Open to locations Victoria wide!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely, accurate reporting and commercial insights to Regional Management to support informed decision-making
- Deliver financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis aligned with business objectives
- Partner with Regional teams to develop and execute budgets, ensuring appropriate challenge and commercial rigour
- Analyse trends, variances, and performance drivers (including rate and volume) to support revenue growth and profitability
- Develop pricing models and provide financial modelling to support strategic initiatives and regional performance
- Conduct detailed cost and profitability analysis, including client profitability, lifecycle analysis, and cost-benefit evaluations
- Work collaboratively with Regional Management to optimise key cost drivers such as labour productivity, asset utilisation, and maintenance performance
- Provide guidance to the General Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting
- Support continuous improvement of business systems, processes, and financial controls
About You:
- Proven experience in a commercial or finance role within a complex, multi-site organisation
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, with demonstrated ability to influence P&L performance
- CA or CPA qualification (essential)
- Solid understanding of financial and management accounting, including consolidation, audit, taxation, and corporate finance
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence across all levels
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
- High level of professionalism with a commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace
