The Opportunity
We're on the lookout for a proactive and organised Operations Coordinator to join our team. This key role sits at the heart of our day-to-day branch operations, You'll be the go-to person connecting drivers, internal teams and back-end systems, helping the branch deliver safe, efficient outcomes to a consistently high standard of operational excellence. Please note, this role operates Sunday to Thursday, 9:00pm – 5:00am, with on-call coverage required one weekend every four weeks, with a night allowance on top of your pay.
- Liaise with drivers and internal teams, acting as the first point of contact to ensure timely, compliant job execution.
- Process daily wages and raise and manage purchase orders and reconciliations in line with company policies.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to drive safety and operational performance.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the wider site team, including order placement and back-end system updates.
- Handle invoicing processes, raising, reviewing, and correcting invoices and resolve contract errors to maintain data integrity and compliance.
About You
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to resolve problems effectively.
- Basic bookkeeping/payroll experience or knowledge is an advantage.
- Good computer skills, including experience with Excel.
- Proven ability to stay agile in a fast-paced environment with conflicting deadlines.
- Comfortable managing inventory, stocktakes, and reconciliation processes, and confident raising and managing purchase orders and invoices with strong attention to detail.
- A safety-first mindset with genuine enthusiasm for driving continuous improvement; experience with UKG (Kronos) or similar workforce management software is desirable but not essential.
- Must be available to work: Sunday to Thursday, 9:00pm – 5:00am, plus on-call one weekend every 4 weeks.
