Insurance Manager

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Insurance Manager to take ownership of Cleanaway’s corporate insurance program and play an important role in protecting our people, assets and business.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and using their expertise to make a difference. You’ll work with senior leaders, brokers, insurers and teams across the business, providing trusted advice and helping shape how we manage risk.

We’re looking for someone who brings strong insurance experience, curiosity and a collaborative approach. Few insurance roles offer the breadth and complexity of Cleanaway. As the business continues to grow and evolve, you'll be challenged by diverse risks, rewarded with meaningful impact, and play a key role in enabling the company's success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Cleanaway’s corporate insurance program, ensuring our cover remains appropriate, competitive and aligned to our business needs.
  • Lead the annual insurance presentations to Australian and global markets.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with brokers, insurers, underwriters and stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Use your expertise to identify risks, opportunities and practical ways to strengthen our insurance and risk management approach.
  • Coordinate insurance renewals, risk engineering, valuations, claims and the company’s insurance register.
  • Provide advice and support across contracts, acquisitions and strategic initiatives, helping the business make informed decisions.
  • Prepare clear, insightful reporting and recommendations for senior leaders and the Board.

About You

  • Experienced in global and corporate insurance,.
  • A confident relationship builder who enjoys working collaboratively and bringing people together to achieve the right outcome.
  • Commercially minded, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to turn complex information into practical advice.
  • Comfortable influencing and presenting to senior stakeholders, while bringing your own perspective and expertise to the conversation.
  • Curious, proactive and solutions-focused, with a genuine interest in continuous improvement and learning.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or a related discipline is desirable.
