UNICEF Pacific is in search of a dedicated and proactive national consultant. The consultancy is for a period of 520 days over 24 months. The consultant will be based in Pohnpei, FSM for the entire duration of the assignment providing programmatic and technical assistance through effective collaboration with both the Government and development partners, and capacity-building support. S/he will work under supervision of ATscale government focal point (Assistant Secretary of Special Services Unit, National Department of Education, FSM), who provides strategic leadership in the project implementation. The coordinator will also work closely with the Maternal and Child Health Specialist from the UNICEF North Pacific Field Office, who will provide oversight, technical guidance and project/financial management support in coordination with the UNICEF Pacific Multi-Country Office (MCO).

The objective of the consultancy is to produce three (3) fully edited animated videos highlighting the situation of children in Haiti, in order to reach a wide audience, strengthen advocacy efforts, mobilize resources, and inform partners, thereby contributing to the improvement of children’s well-being in the country.
This consultancy is an opportunity to support UNICEF’s global Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) agenda by strengthening technical assistance, strategy development, and emergency response capacity. The consultant will help manage the IASC MHPSS Minimum Service Package (MSP) helpdesk, develop and field‑test operational tools, and build the capacity of humanitarian actors across sectors. The role will contribute to UNICEF’s new Mental Health Strategy and its integration into the organization’s Strategic Plan, while providing global and country‑level technical support on MHPSS measurement, evaluation, and emergency programming. Travel for in‑person technical assistance will be required based on country needs.

As the ecosystem grows in complexity with new stakeholders and funding partners, this role is essential to ensure high availability, scalability, data security, and technical quality.
