UNICEF Eswatini is looking for a consultant to support the Government of Eswatini in identifying environmental health policy priorities, through strengthened evidence generation and partner coordination
UNICEF internship programme aims to provide a framework by which current eligible undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students from diverse academic backgrounds are assigned to UNICEF offices, where their educational experience can be enhanced through practical work assignments. Additionally, the programme aims to expose the interns to the work of UNICEF, while providing UNICEF offices with the assistance of qualified students specialized in various professional fields
The national consultant will lead efforts to ensure that Uzbekistan’s updated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) are child-sensitive, aligning with UNICEF’s global guidance and the NDC Toolkit for Children. Additionally, the consultant will support in modelling and analytical work related to National Adaptation Plan (NAP), Biennial Transparency Reports (BTRs), and NDCs.
The purpose of this consultancy is to provide technical support and coordination to International Consultant in Social Spending analysis with a focus on child budget and disability budget components. The assignment aims to ensure that social protection investments are better aligned with children's needs and rights, as outlined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). This will be achieved through the on-the-job training of Ministry of Finance and Economy and relevant social sector ministry staff, focusing on budget assessment, strategic planning, budget formulation, budget execution and monitoring, and budget reporting. Results of the Assessment will contribute to the Public Spending module of the ongoing CODI Assessment.
