The position provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the nutrition programmes/projects within the Country Programme, from development planning to delivery of results. The Health Specialist supports the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of a sector of UNICEF’s health programme, providing technical guidance to achieve sustainable results for children and adolescents. In line with the 2026–29 Strategic Plan, the role supports the shift from direct implementation towards upstream advocacy and health systems strengthening by influencing policies, financing, planning, data, workforce capacity, service delivery, and accountability mechanisms. The Specialist will advance evidence-based policy engagement, strategic partnerships, stakeholder convening, and cross-sectoral collaboration to support government-led reforms, address system bottlenecks, and improve health outcomes at scale.
The purpose of this consultancy is to design and develop a comprehensive, inclusive, and competency-based Non-Formal Education (NFE) learning package under the Alternative Learning Opportunities (ALO) Project for out-of-school children aged 10–14 years.
This is a temporary, output-based assignment with specific and measurable deliverables to be completed within a defined contract period.
The consultancy will ensure that the package integrates contextually relevant curriculum content, learner-centered pedagogy, and appropriate assessment strategies aligned with national education standards and equivalency frameworks.
