La consultoría brindará liderazgo técnico y organizativo para evaluar los cambios logrados por el proyecto “Preparación Participativa Integral ante Desastres enfocada en Comunidades Altamente Vulnerables” en Venezuela. La evaluación se llevará a cabo mediante tres simulaciones de emergencia en los estados Sucre, Delta Amacuro y Zulia, como parte de los esfuerzos de preparación y respuesta ante desastres.
El trabajo buscará medir el fortalecimiento de las capacidades comunitarias para la gestión del riesgo, la preparación y la respuesta ante emergencias, con énfasis en niños, niñas, adolescentes, mujeres y comunidades vulnerables. Asimismo, contribuirá a reforzar la resiliencia de poblaciones afectadas por el cambio climático y el desplazamiento, promoviendo sistemas de respuesta más sólidos y comunidades mejor preparadas.
As part of its efforts to reduce the number of OOSC children, the Federal Ministry of Education through the Director of Basic Education has requested UNICEF to support the development of the OOSC policy and strategy for Nigeria.
This will be built on the OOSC Framework that was developed in 2022 while incorporating emerging evidence and the changing context since 2022. The consultant will also work with FME, State governments and partners to map the number and location of non-formal learning centers.
To support this request from FME, UNICEF seeks a consultant to undertake the work which will contribute to UNICEF’s country programme for 2026 – 2027.
The objective of these services is to manage finances within the UWR in accordance with the Financial Agreement and the Operational Manual for Program Implementation; to ensure compliance with budgetary procedures and payment processes within the UWR; to provide the necessary support to the Project Implementation Units (PIUs); and to compile and prepare the relevant budgetary and financial reports.
To support UNICEF Venezuela and Ministry of Health counterparts in planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring integrated outreach and primary health care (PHC) activities for earthquake-affected populations in Capital District, La Guaira, Miranda, Aragua, Carabobo, Yaracuy, and Falcón, ensuring equitable access to essential health services and strengthening community engagement during the emergency response.
The Supply and Logistics Associate performs highly skilled work on UNICEF supply chains, and manages the more complex cases and client requests, which frequently requires the evaluation of difficult situations and adaptation of procedures and processes to resolve such cases. The function is characterized as highly independent and provides opportunities for Associates to lead and carry out responsibility for end-to-end supply chain management from the beginning to the end of the process and provide input into the design and development of improved supply chain services and delivery mechanisms.
