Tanzania office is looking for an Individual consultant to develop a comprehensive CPD framework for healthcare professionals at all service delivery levels. The consultant will draw on the best practices from Tanzania mainland, other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, other African regions and beyond. The consultant will review the current medical and nursing practitioners' license renewal practices and link them with the framework.
This 12-month consultancy will support the management and implementation of UNICEF’s Adolescent Development and Participation (ADAP) team’s Youth-Led Action commitments to donors in both the development and humanitarian space, including country technical assistance and the global digital learning and skilling hub Youth-Led Action. The consultant will also play a key supportive role in building partnerships and resource mobilization for this agenda, including supporting work with country government and stakeholder partners for long-term systems strengthening and country ownership of this work.
With the work in this space evolving and engaging a broader range of donors, the ADAP team seeks to engage a consultant who will contribute to delivering on the Youth-Led Action agenda by producing a set of targeted deliverables, outlined below, and supporting resource mobilization and partnerships.
The consultancy will be managed by UNICEF’s Adolescent Development and Participation (ADAP) team, in close collaboration with colleagues from Health and Mental Health.
The consultant will be under the overall supervision of the Senior Education Advisor (Management, Advocacy and Partnerships), and work in close collaboration with the Global Director, thematic area Team Leaders, DGCA, regional and country offices. For deliverables in support of the Safe to Learn Secretariat, the consultant will work under the guidance of the Head of Secretariat.
The Consultant will support the Migration and Displacement/IDAC team in the Data and Analytics Section in the Division of Analytics, Planning and Monitoring with the preparation of publications, data analysis, and other technical work related to migration and displacement of children, and will assist the IDAC Secretariat/IDAC Coordinator with the organization of events and webinars, communications and dissemination activities, and programme management support.
