The “Child Rights, Safety and Inclusion in the Digital Environment” area of work focuses on advancing children’s rights in the digital environment, including issues related to digital governance, artificial intelligence, online safety, platform accountability, children’s data rights, social media, digital inclusion, and the participation of parents, children and
young people in decisions shaping digital spaces. The agenda requires the development of public-facing digital content that translates complex policy, advocacy and research materials into clear, engaging and accessible web products for global audiences.
The purpose of the assignment is to oversee a complex, multi-year, multi-stakeholder joint programme involving UNICEF, UNTMIS HRPG/OHCHR, government counterparts, Federal Member States, national institutions, civil society, and donor partners.
Child marriage among Roma communities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia persists at high rates, driven by systemic exclusion rather than cultural tradition. UNICEF is seeking a consultant to produce a scoping review, a regional framework, and an advocacy policy paper targeting EU inclusion strategies. This initiative aims to equip UNICEF with evidence-based tools to ensure the protection and inclusion of Roma girls by 2030.
