UNICEF Yemen is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join its team as an Emergency Specialist, NO3, where, under the guidance/supervision of your supervisor, you will establish and implements country office, emergency preparedness and response. You will be responsible for the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the emergency interventions to ensure the survival and well-being of children and mothers, and the affected communities in an emergency situation.
The purpose of this assignment is to provide technical support to the Education & ICDS Departments in Madhya Pradesh to improve data and monitoring systems for contextual planning, monitoring and review.
This includes strengthening of the Vidya Samiksha Kendra focusing on school drop-out, teacher education, ECCE, supportive supervision and other relevant areas.
The Monitoring Specialist provides technical guidance to UNICEF Myanmar to establish a streamlined programme monitoring (including HPM) system and works closely with office’s monitoring and information management officers, enabling evidence-based decision-making. As an essential part of the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation function, effective Monitoring Specialist contributes to the effectiveness and efficiency of programme implementation and supports the office in achieving its programmatic results. It also contributes to maintaining and enhancing the credibility and ability of UNICEF to fulfil Core Commitments for Children.
The consultancy will deliver defined, measurable outputs to strengthen vaccine management, logistics information systems, campaign supply-chain readiness, outbreak preparedness, monitoring and supervision, and some innovative capacity building initiatives.
