The consultancy aims to assess the feasibility of institutionalizing Busca Ativa Escolar as a national public policy and, if deemed viable, to develop a detailed implementation roadmap outlining the steps, resources, stakeholders, and governance arrangements required to support its adoption and implementation. WEZIZA ÉDUC, dont l’objectif global est de transformer le système éducatif en améliorant l’accès, la qualité, le
maintien et l’équité, en particulier pour les filles du primaire et du 1er cycle du secondaire général. La Composante 2
du programme, intitulée « Accélération de l’éducation et du bien-être des filles », cible de manière spécifique les défis
sociaux, économiques, sanitaires et psychosociaux qui entravent l’éducation continue des filles.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is responding to its 17th Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak, confirmed in May 2026 and affecting Ituri, North Kivu, and South Kivu provinces. The situation remains complex and evolving, with transmission occurring in both community and health-care settings. Response efforts are led by national authorities in a context shaped by health system limitations, logistical constraints, insecurity, displacement, and diverse community perceptions influencing health-seeking behaviors.
UNICEF supports the Government through a multi-sectoral approach, focusing on community engagement, surveillance, infection prevention, and the continuity of essential services for vulnerable populations.
This context requires strong coordination, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity to support effective and equitable response efforts, particularly for children and at-risk communities.
As part of its efforts to support the coordination of foundational learning in Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Education,
through the Director of Basic Education, has requested UNICEF to support the development of the FLN Policy for Nigeria.
This will build on the identified gaps in the FLN Landscape analysis and other evidence on FLN implementation across the
states. The consultant will also work with FME, State governments, and partners to map the number and location of nonformal learning centers.
