El/la consultor/a tendrá como objetivo generar insumos técnicos especializados que contribuyan al fortalecimiento de los instrumentos aplicables al sector de agua potable y saneamiento en el Ecuador, mediante el diagnóstico y análisis del marco técnico vigente, la identificación de brechas, desafíos y oportunidades de mejora, y la elaboración de un compendio regional de tecnologías viables para el abastecimiento de agua potable y el saneamiento. Dicho compendio deberá incorporará tecnologías convencionales e innovadoras, soluciones basadas en la naturaleza (SbN) y alternativas adaptadas a las características geográficas, climáticas y socioeconómicas de las diferentes regiones del país, incluyendo un apartado sobre captación, almacenamiento, tratamiento y aprovechamiento de agua lluvia como fuente complementaria para diversos usos, incluido el consumo humano bajo condiciones técnicas y sanitarias apropiadas.
Under the supervision of the Fundraising Officer (Acquisition) and the general supervision of the Individual Giving Officer, the incumbent will support the coordination and follow-up of offline acquisition activities, including strategy implementation and engagement with agencies and suppliers. The incumbent will contribute to supplier and agency management processes, including the preparation of RFPs and LTAs; cost planning and fund-loading support; monitoring of CPA, ROI and relevant KPIs; preparation of internal and external meetings; responses to agency requests; support for supplier negotiation processes and kick-off meetings; projections and reprojections; administrative support; and quality reporting and feedback to agencies, in accordance with PSFR objectives.

The Chief, Risk Analysis and Preparedness also supervises the Risk and Preparedness Unit, a small team of professionals working on risk analysis and preparedness within EMOPS.
