UNICEF Pakistan is seeking an experienced program specialist/polio team lead to provide strategic leadership and technical oversight of the polio eradication program in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Based in Peshawar, the incumbent will lead program planning, implementation, monitoring, partnerships, and capacity-building efforts to deliver sustainable results for children.
The purpose of the consultancy is to strengthen the quality, reach and effect of the cash-plus component. Building on existing procedures and tools, the consultant will develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for curriculum delivery and referrals, design behaviour-focused digital and in-person engagement, assemble a standardised training package and document what works. The consultant will also maintain organised records and a content library for the component and support programme monitoring and reporting.
Under the supervision of the WASH Officer, the WASH Technical Consultant for Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) is accountable for the timely and quality implementation of the WASH-MHM program, under the CER Output 5.2, with particular focus on the promoting Menstrual Hygiene Management and the institutionalization of the Oky Menstrual Period Tracking App in the Philippines.
The implementation Oky under the TUSIP program and the emerging climate-environment agenda for MHM has expanded the opportunity to reach more adolescents in the Philippines. To maximize this opportunity, the WASH-MHM program, particularly the Oky project, requires continued personnel support for technical assistance delivery, marketing and user acquisition, and systems strengthening. UNICEF needs the services of a dedicated consultant to support Oky Philippines and WASH-MHM tasks/activities and provide technical assistance to CSO and government implementing partners
The assignment will be delivered in close collaboration with the 2050 MEL Adviser, the Adviser Data Analytics and Insights, and key regional partners including the Pacific Community (SPC), the Pacific Data Hub, UNICEF Pacific, National Statistical Offices, CROP agencies, United Nations agencies and other development partners
