The purpose of the Education Manager (Sector Coordinator) position is to guarantee leadership and coordination of the Education sector partners in order to ensure a strategic, coherent, effective and efficient Education response. In support to, and collaboration with national authorities and sector partners, the Education Sector Coordinator will support the development and implementation of a sound strategy that responds to the education needs of Rohingya refugees and host communities in Cox’s Bazar for the short and medium term.
Le/La consultant(e) sera basé(e) à Siguiri, épicentre de l’épidémie, dans la région de Kankan. Sous la supervision du spécialiste logistique et chaine de froid du programme santé, il/elle travaillera en étroite collaboration avec tous les acteurs impliqués dans les activités d’éradication de la poliomyélite dans leurs régions respectives d’intervention.
Le/la consultant(e) fera en moyenne 15 jours de mission par mois pendant toute la durée du présent contrat.
The consultancy serves an urgent and strategic purpose, focused on:
• Accelerating the implementation of UNICEF’s Human Rights Framework for Action (2024), a cornerstone initiative requiring swift and coordinated action across the organization.
• Safeguarding and reinforcing UNICEF’s active engagement with international human rights mechanisms, which are currently under significant pressure. In this context, sustained and visible UNICEF engagement is more crucial than ever.
The purpose of this consultancy is to support the implementation of the ICF thematic windows. In addition, the consultancy will undertake activities central to the scoping, development and accompaniment of broader impact evaluation opportunities. Specific objectives include:
• Provide technical support in the design and implementation at least two, and maximum three impact evaluations under the Child Marriage and Social Norms ICF (e.g., Burkina Faso, Ghana and Niger) and contribute to the development of other impact evaluations in the portfolio as requested.
• Support a set of methodological innovations across the Child Marriage and Social Norms ICF, including input to and analysis of methodological papers on topics including the development of attitude and norm indices, forced marriage measures, and cost-effectiveness methodologies among participating countries.
• Support the GPECM with the development of a pilot analysis to estimate cross-country impact of the GPECM, or several case studies estimating the impact of the GPECM activities over time.
• Contribute scoping and background work towards a new Impact Feasibility Assessment (IFA) on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in collaboration with focal points at the UNICEF EO, UNFPA and stakeholders in the Joint Programme to End FGM.
• Support the development and delivery of capacity development and learning materials focusing on impact evaluation methodologies and practical implementation processes for national partners, UNICEF staff and other audience.
• Contribute to the development of dissemination materials including methodological briefs, working papers and peer-reviewed journals.
