The National Consultant will provide dedicated technical support for the piloting, monitoring, refinement and institutionalization of the competency-based Tajik Language methodology course for pre-service teacher training.
Under the direct supervision of the Education Officer and under the guidance of the Education Specialist , the consultant is responsible for providing technical support in the implementation of the Akelius initiative, contributing to a quality scale-up by ensuring technical support to key partners (CSOs, teacher training institutes and education ministries), providing monitoring of activities within schools, monitoring of equipment usage, feedback collection and knowledge exchange between different administrative units and schools and regular reporting of these activities and serving as a technical resource person for schools and partners.
The Programme Associate will support programme design and delivery, financial management and reporting by cooperating partners including CSOs that will participate in the Youth Power Hub. In addition, the incumbent will support with other project management activities such as monitoring and reporting on activities and results.
Under the supervision of the Nutrition Specialist, the Nutrition Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the nutrition programmes and projects. The incumbent applies theoretical and technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing, and presenting technical programme information to support the development and formulation of the Nutrition Programme within the Country Programme, while learning organizational rules, regulations and procedures.

The purpose of this consultancy is to conduct a national scoping assessment of pre-service nutrition education and
training in Afghanistan and identify the gaps, opportunities and strategic actions required to strengthen the country's
capacity to produce competent nutrition professionals. The assessment will examine institutions, programmes, curricula,
faculty, students, practical training arrangements, quality assurance mechanisms, graduate outcomes and workforce
