Under the supervision of the Nutrition Manager from the Health and Nutrition Section, the consultant will provide technical support to DBE in enhancing learners’ knowledge, skills, and advocacy capacity through participatory, curriculum-linked nutrition education, enabling them to critically engage with their own dietary behavior and that of their peers. Furthermore, the consultant will develop toolkits for the NUSA initiative to empower learners to advocate for healthier school food environments by engaging with School Governing Bodies, School Management Teams, and food vendors to promote and enforce policies that ensure the availability and affordability of nutritious options in and around schools.

The analysis will examine progress, challenges, and opportunities for realizing their rights and well-being, in line with the CRC, CEDAW, CRPD, and other international obligations through a participatory process, and using appropriate methodology, a human rights-based approach and an equity focus, develop a Situation Analysis on the Rights and Well-being of Children, Adolescents and Young people in Jordan.

The assignment aims to strengthen UNICEF’s partnerships with key stakeholders, including government institutions, national and local sports federations, private sector partners, and civil society organizations, to integrate child rights principles into sport-based initiatives and to leverage the unifying power of sport for social impact.
A particular focus will be placed on exploring and implementing innovative fundraising opportunities through sports, including large-scale sporting events, collaborations with sports organizations, and athlete-led campaigns that can attract both individual supporters and corporate donors.
The consultant will provide overall leadership and technical guidance in the design, planning, and implementation of sports-based projects, as well as in partnership coordination, resource mobilization, and reporting, contributing to the achievement of the expected results under the UNICEF Kazakhstan Country Programme 2026 - 2030.
