UNICEF Afghanistan is seeking a Child Protection Specialist (P-3) to support and strengthen child protection programmes for children affected by armed conflict, displacement, migration, and other protection risks. The purpose of this consultancy is to provide time-bound technical support to UNICEF Bangladesh’s Education Programme and Generation Unlimited (GenU) agenda through the development and delivery of specific outputs that strengthen pathways from learning to earning for adolescents and young people.
The main purposes of this assignment are to understand the risk of SEA (SEARA) occurring and how the humanitarian response is addressing SEA risks, with a specific focus on the Child Protection, Health & Nutrition Sector in Myanmar. Additionally, the assignment aims to provide findings and recommendations to promote safer projects, and to inform capacity development by the PSEA team, enhancing the appropriate response to and prevention of SEA. The consultant will conduct mixed research (desk review and primary data collection), analyze the results and prioritize SEA risks in Child Protection, Health and Nutrition Sector. The assessment will offer proof to support SEA initiatives that promote safe child protection, health and nutrition service environment for all children. The final report will include recommendations, a risk register, and mitigation measures with practical tools for those sectors.
To provide technical and coordination support to the UNICEF Thailand Country Office in the planning, management, quality assurance and use of research and evaluation, ensuring these are designed and implemented in line with UNICEF and UNEG norms and standards, and that findings inform programmes and policy decisions for children in Thailand; evidence generation, including planning, management, conduct and reporting.
