UNICEF Digital Centre of Excellence seeks a RapidPro and InForm Community Manager to sustain an active, informed and well documented user community for both platforms. The Community Manager will manage community engagement, maintain the knowledge base and documentation on which country offices rely, provide second level user support, and carry out the routine administration required to keep both platforms operational for users.
The situation in Afghanistan remains exceptionally complex, with a protracted emergency situation, characterized by recurrent natural disasters, an increased number of people living in poverty, continued internal displacement, unprecedented levels of food insecurity, which has been further compounded since the COVID-19 pandemic. This complexity has greatly impacted the situation of children and women in the country. The August 2021 transition, exacerbated by four decades of conflict, recurrent natural disasters, chronic poverty, and multiple disease outbreaks continue to negatively impact children and women. The discontinuation of education for girls beyond grade six and restrictions on participation of women to work deprives almost half of the human capital to contribute to the nation’s economy and development.
UNICEF Pakistan is seeking an experienced program specialist/polio team lead to provide strategic leadership and technical oversight of the polio eradication program in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Based in Peshawar, the incumbent will lead program planning, implementation, monitoring, partnerships, and capacity-building efforts to deliver sustainable results for children.
The purpose of the consultancy is to strengthen the quality, reach and effect of the cash-plus component. Building on existing procedures and tools, the consultant will develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for curriculum delivery and referrals, design behaviour-focused digital and in-person engagement, assemble a standardised training package and document what works. The consultant will also maintain organised records and a content library for the component and support programme monitoring and reporting.
This consultancy will provide technical support to the IE and ECD/E projects to ensure that project outcomes are effectively consolidated, documented, and elevated for policy influence. The consultant will provide full-time-equivalent technical support over 12 months to assist UNICEF and national and subnational partners in consolidating the quality, consistency, sustainability and visibility of Inclusive education and the consultation and documentation of the ECE/D teacher training implementation strategy to inform national teacher’s development strategy. The consultant will translate agreed priorities into coordinated workplans, capacity-strengthening activities, quality assurance and monitoring mechanisms, sustainability support, knowledge products and transition arrangements.
