Under the supervision and guidance of the supervisor, the Programme Associate provides specialized programme and administrative support to facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of UNICEF's programmes. The role involves substantial engagement in data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and compliance with organizational rules. Incumbent exercises judgment, anticipates needs, and recommends actions that contribute to programme planning, implementation and reporting results.
The consultant will be responsible for supporting the implementation of maternal health promotion activities within UNICEF’s strategic frameworks — the UNICEF Seal and the Agenda Cidade UNICEF — and for providing support to strategies at the federal level.
UNICEF requires a data and software engineer to support the newly formed Office of Strategy and Evidence (OSE) in enhancing its data engineering, report automation, and AI-based analytics, while simultaneously migrating primary responsibility for its technology stack to the platforms team of the Digital Impact Division (DID).
The Legal Affairs Specialist will give recommendations and advice on a wide range of organizational activities and interests, including, among other things, the interaction of UNICEF with governments and other key partners as well as on strategic initiatives across UNICEF. This support helps UNICEF to take advantage of development opportunities as well as safeguard the organization from risk. The Legal Team aims to identify and mitigate exposure to potential liability and financial loss, to safeguard the ability of the organization to be accountable to its stakeholders, and to preserve credibility as well as funding from member states and other donors, both public and private.
