| UNICEF Pacific is hiring a Technology for Development (T4D)/Digital Impact Officer, NOB on a fixed term appointment to be based in Suva, Fiji. Under the general supervision of the ICT Specialist with technical guidance from Deputy Representative (programme), the T4D Officer supports programme teams in the identification, assessment and integration of ICT and digital innovation into UNICEF programming; strengthening internal capacity to support T4D related initiatives; identifying and engaging with key partners; building and maintaining business relationships; applying reusable and replicable technical buildings blocks; and maximizing the potential for the scale-up and sustainability of technology and digital innovation for UNICEF programming. The T4D Officer works closely with Programme staff and in close liaison with the Regional Office ICT and T4D teams, and the central ICT Division where applicable. |

The proposed assignment aims to estimate the welfare cost associated with homicides and suicides of children and adolescents in Brazil and to estimate intangible costs related to morbidity (loss of quality of life) resulting from VAC in Brazil, in order to subsidize the estimation of the economic cost of VAC in Brazil conducted by the UNICEF and the Ipea to support evidence-based public policy formulation. |

| The JPO will contribute to managing and strengthening partnerships with key public partners through the coordination of high-level advocacy, daily engagement with counterparts, and support to resource mobilization under the supervision of Deputy Team Lead and overall guidance of the Director, Washington DC Office.
The position’s purpose is to provide support in deepening collaboration with key stakeholders and helping to provide an interface for environmental scanning, knowledge exchange, resource mobilization, and policy influence within the scope of assignment. The key result is to ensure greater visibility for UNICEF and influence in support of its mission.
