| UNICEF Uganda is seeking to engage an international professional to enhance its resource mobilization and donor reporting efforts. We aim to recruit a Partnerships and Reporting Consultant who will strengthen the capacity of the Country Office to produce high-quality donor reports and effectively manage resource partnerships.
The selected consultant will play a pivotal role in meeting essential partnership and donor reporting benchmarks, including achieving UNICEF Uganda’s annual fundraising targets. This work will be conducted in adherence to UNICEF’s global and in-country priorities.
The Consultant is expected to carry out critical tasks in alignment with UNICEF’s global standards and guidelines, as well as the framework agreements, standards, and guidelines established by our resource partners. The evaluation will assess whether the VII pooled procurement mechanism is achieving the intended cohesiveness, efficiencies, and complementarities within UNICEF Pacific Island countries and territories (PICTs), and whether all efforts are positioned to advance the goal for every child to survive and thrive, with access to nutritious diets, quality health care, nurturing practices and essential supplies. | Assignment context:
Within the UNICEF Country Programme 2025 – 2029 and under the supervision of the Education Specialist P3, the Education Officer mainly provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance for the ITALEEM Programme funded by the EU (75%) and implemented jointly with UNESCO. Furthermore, the Education Officer supports the Life Skills programmes funded by Canada (25%), for the reintegration of conflict-affected children returning from Northeast Syria (NES). Overall responsibility includes a variety of technical and administrative tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, progress monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for these programmes.
Technically, the position focuses on supporting the General Directorates of Education (GDoEs) and more widely the Ministry of Education (MoE) on three components: system building and strengthening the governance of the education system; expanding equitable access to quality learning opportunities through formal, non-formal and early childhood education; and improvement of learning, learning outcomes, and skills development.
Geographically, the position focuses on (but is not limited to) the following governorates: Baghdad, Babil, Wasit, Karbala, Najaf, Diyala, Salah-A-Din, and Anbar. |

| La vaccination est l’un des programmes de santé publique qui a fait ses preuves dans le contrôle et l’éradication de pathologies mortelles ayant affecté le monde. Au Bénin, les bonnes performances vaccinales réalisées par le pays dans la mise en œuvre des activités du Programme Elargi de Vaccination (PEV) ont permis de réduire sensiblement l’incidence des maladies évitables par la vaccination (diphtérie, coqueluche, fièvre jaune, Rougeole, etc.), d’éliminer le tétanos néonatal et d’arrêter la circulation du poliovirus sauvage depuis 2009. Cependant, depuis quelques années, on note une stagnation voire une régression des performances du pays accentué par la pandémie de la COVID-19 qui a secoué le pays courant 2020-2021. Selon les estimations du WUENIC, depuis 2016, la couverture du pays en Penta3 est restée stagnante à 76% avec une régression à 69% en 2023.
La conséquence perceptible sur le programme de vaccination est l’augmentation du nombre d’enfant zéro-dose (+16% entre 2019-2023).
Face à cette situation, des initiatives et approches innovantes sont en cours au niveau de pays pour inverser les tendances en matière de vaccination et réduire le nombre d’enfants zéro-doses ont été entreprises par le Ministère de la santé dont l’extension sur système logistique optimisé. |

| Globally, millions of girls face significant barriers to education due to inadequate menstrual hygiene management (MHM). Guyana is no exception, with disparities in access to menstrual hygiene products, sanitation facilities, and awareness about menstruation being particularly pronounced in rural, riverine, and hinterland communities
In many of these communities, adolescent girls struggle with the lack of access to private, clean, and safe sanitation facilities, coupled with limited access to affordable menstrual hygiene products. These challenges often result in absenteeism, school dropouts, and a perpetuation of gender-based educational disparities. The stigma surrounding menstruation also contributes to social exclusion and reinforces negative attitudes toward girls' education, further hindering their full participation in school life. |
