The Senior Operations Manager supports the Deputy Regional Director in the management of resources and organizational assets ensuring effective planning and control as well as efficiency and economy of implementation and utilization of such resources and assets as well as the adequate management of risks. As a Strategic Business Partner and regional advisor, the incumbent will be responsible to lead for results, drive change, provide risk informed, solution-focused analysis, advice and services and contribute to programme and management decisions for delivering results for children in all operational contexts within the Regional office and provide technical leadership and guidance for Operations in all countries and field offices within the region. The Payments Processing Stream is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and finalizing payments on behalf of UNICEF country offices including but not limited to vendor payments, payments to UNICEF staff, payroll payments and recording incoming funds according to UNICEF financial rules and regulations. Finance Assistant will prepare payment runs, review and action outstanding payments as well as provide client offices with guidance and support on how to resolve outstanding cases in line with SOPs and finance policy.

Under the supervision of the Communication Specialist, the Communication Associate supports the implementation of the Centre’s communication strategy, directly supporting GSSC-led internal and external communication activities, projects and change related activities. The incumbent provides technical support in developing creatives in a range of digital formats and maintaining web-based platforms that are used in external and internal communication, as well as in knowledge-sharing within GSSC and across UNICEF. The delivery of communication expertise and support to business units within GSSC ensures timely development of quality, user-focused communication products and tools that keep UNICEF staff and offices informed about GSSC priorities and initiatives thereby supporting UNICEF’s global delivery of results to women and children.
