The University of Florida’s School of Architecture (UFSoA) in the College of Design, Construction and Planning invites applications for one faculty position emphasizing architectural design and instruction, at the Assistant Instructional Professor level. This is a 12-month appointment and will be based on the main campus in Gainesville, Florida. In response to recent growth, UFSoA is looking for an instructional faculty with extensive pedagogical interests prepared to thrive within a highly competitive R1 research university. Successful candidates will be invested within the studio-based design culture and curriculum at the UFSoA, will contribute to academic and professional service, and may pursue design-centered scholarship within a limited framework.

The University of Florida School of Architecture invites applicants for one or more tenure-track appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek candidates with expertise in architectural design: innovative designers, dedicated educators, and strong researchers who are prepared to thrive within a highly-competitive R1 research university. We are specifically interested in candidates with demonstrated expertise in studio design instruction. Secondary areas of expertise may include full-scale fabrication, design/build practices, digital design and visualization, housing, practice, and/or other areas of funded research and peer-reviewed publication. In this tenure-accruing position successful candidates are expected to achieve distinction within at least two of three areas: research/scholarship, teaching, and service. Candidates for tenure must demonstrate excellence through publications, grants, successful students, and contributions to the university and profession. This is a full-time, nine (9)-month per year position. The successful candidate will be based on our main campus in Gainesville, Florida and should anticipate a start date of Fall 2026.

The Bud Shorstein Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Florida is seeking candidates for the newly endowed Bruce Greenberg Chair in Atlantic, Caribbean, and Latin American Jewish Studies. This open-rank, tenured or tenure-track faculty position will expand the Center’s teaching, programming, and community outreach, strengthening its national prominence in these areas. The position, scheduled to begin on August 16, 2026, welcomes applicants with a Ph.D. in disciplines within the social sciences or humanities. Successful candidates for the Bud Shorstein Center for Jewish Studies will hold a tenure line in the department corresponding to their discipline and affiliation with the Center for Latin American Studies. UF faculty benefit from the Isser and Rae Price Library of Judaica at the University of Florida which holds exceptional collections in Latin American and Caribbean Jewish Studies, and the Center for Latin American Studies—the oldest and one of the most prestigious in the United States.
Postdoctoral Associate in Time-Domain Astrophysics 16060000 - LS-ASTRONOMY Main Campus (Gainesville, FL)
A Postdoctoral Associate position is available in observational/computational time-domain astrophysics, including supernovae, gravitational-wave events, fast radio bursts, and tidal disruption events, to work with Dr. Daichi Hiramatsu in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Florida to begin in Fall 2026. Applicants are encouraged to include plans on how they will benefit from and utilize some of the group, department, and university resources, including UF telescope access (e.g., 10.4m Gran Telescopio Canarias), HiPerGator supercomputer, and/or membership in the Global Supernova Project (a Key Project at Las Cumbres Observatory with a global telescope network). Ability to connect with other researchers in the department as well as campus-wide will also be considered positively. The applicant must have completed a PhD in Astronomy, Physics, or a related field by the date of appointment. The position is renewable annually for up to three years based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.
