The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking applicants with a PhD, DNP, or EdD and extensive experience in nursing education for Dean-appointed leadership roles. These full-time, twelve-month (1.0 FTE) positions carry a faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Depending on the candidate’s background and qualifications, the position may be aligned with either the tenure track or the non-tenure track. The Dean-appointed leadership roles will serve as key members of the College of Nursing’s leadership team. Individuals in these positions will provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight across assigned academic areas, which may include undergraduate programs, graduate programs, or academic operations initiatives. Depending on the specific portfolio, appointees may be responsible for guiding program development and evaluation, supporting faculty excellence, and ensuring high-quality academic and student outcomes. Responsibilities may include oversight of curriculum planning and management, accreditation and compliance processes, instructional innovation, and strategic enrollment initiatives. These leadership roles may also oversee functions such as the Office of Student Services, advising and academic support, clinical placement operations, or instructional design, ensuring cohesive and student-centered services across all academic levels. Appointees will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and College leadership to advance academic excellence, foster innovation, and ensure alignment with the College’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.

This is a full-time, twelve-month, 1.0 FTE position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor that could be a tenure track or non-tenure track faculty position depending on background and qualifications. The Senior Associate Dean of Academic-Practice Partnerships is an inaugural role at the UF College of Nursing, designed to provide transformative leadership in fostering and sustaining strategic partnerships between the College and clinical practice settings. This individual will serve as the operational leader of the faculty practice clinical enterprise, overseeing its growth, integration, and alignment with the College’s mission and strategic goals. The Senior Associate Dean will interface with all clinical practice areas—hospital-based, ambulatory, community, and global—to drive the integration of evidence-based practice into nursing education and clinical environments. This role is critical in preparing highly competent nursing professionals and advancing innovative academic-practice models that enhance healthcare delivery.
AST/ASO/FULL PROFESSOR-Trauma Surgery 29141003 - MD-SURGERY-TRAUMA Main Campus (Gainesville, FL)
The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Gainesville is recruiting a full-time tenure or non-tenure track acute care surgeon to join the Division of Acute Care Surgery. We currently have 14 full-time surgeons and follow a shared service model, covering acute care surgery, adult trauma care, surgical critical care, complex abdominal wall and intestinal fistula reconstruction, and burn. Our Level I trauma center provides care to over 5,000 trauma admissions/year, including 17% penetrating trauma volume. Our operative volume for trauma and acute care surgery is over 2,000 cases/year.
