| Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Life Safety Shop Supervisor leads, administers, and
continuously improves the University's fire protection and life safety systems maintenance and compliance
programs including fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, standpipe systems, clean agent and
special hazard suppression systems, emergency communications systems, and other fire and life safety
infrastructure. This position is responsible for supervising staff and contractors, ensuring the reliability,
compliance, and operational readiness of fire protection systems, coordinating maintenance and repair
activities, managing regulatory requirements, and supporting system renewal and improvement initiatives. The
role also oversees shop budgeting, administrative functions, and maintenance record management while
collaborating with regulatory authorities and campus stakeholders to maintain a safe and compliant
environment. |
