| Reporting to the Controls Supervisor, the BAS Controls Technician II provides skilled work in the efficient and effective installation, maintenance, and application of digital controls and building automation systems in the monitoring and operation of building equipment used to support and maintain the environment within administrative, service, and research facilities campus-wide. Responsibilities include but not limited to maintaining
troubleshooting, repairing, installing, calibrating, and/or programing building automation and control systems and their associated components to include Trane, Automated Logic, Johnson Controls, Siemens and other various integrated BACnet systems. Troubleshoot network communications issues. Mentor Level I technicians and assist Level III as required. Install and troubleshoot VFD’s Create BAS control sequences and programming. Review and commission construction projects. Resolve building HVAC, research laboratory, and/or central plant control related issues for maintaining a safe, comfortable, and energy efficient environment for students, faculty, and staff.
