This position serves as one of the Career and Academic Advisors for the Levin College of Law. The Assistant Director and Advisor assumes leadership for coordination and delivery of advising for students and graduates of the College of Law. The Assistant Director and Advisor is also responsible for assisting with all aspects of the administration, program planning and implementation of the office of Career and Professional Development for J.D. students, LL.M. students, and graduates of the law school. The Assistant Director also assists in administering tax LL.M. and international LL.M. career and academic advising. This includes meeting with employers, current and prospective students, and tracking student and graduate employment. This includes, but is not limited to, helping students develop short-term and long-term career, academic, and professional goals; choosing academic courses and experiential programs so that they may graduate in a timely manner, and maximizing their law school experience. The Assistant Director and Advisor will help students adopt best practices to succeed in law school and the legal profession and pass the bar exam on their first attempt. These positions will also identify, monitor, and work with students on academic probation, monitor student graduation progress, and assist with programming for students. Successful candidates will have strong written and oral communication skills, understanding of the legal profession and legal career paths, and the ability to work in a team environment.

The position of Core Research Facility Technician III (CRFT 3) in the Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology (ICBR) Gene Expression and Genotyping Shared Resource (GEG) will process samples for single cell RNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics analysis, and perform nucleic acid quantification/analysis using Nanodrop, Qubit and the Agilent Bioanalyzer/TapeStation. The CRFT 3 will also perform ddPCR and prepare cDNA libraries for bulk RNA-seq. Additional duties include assisting customers, tracking lab supplies and other lab related works as needed. This individual must be able to work in a highly dynamic team environment, multitask, think critically, problem-solve and work independently. ICBR staff must adhere to all University of Florida and ICBR laboratory safety standards and requirements.
OPS Study Interviewer 36020000 - PHHP-COM EPIDEMIOLOGY Main Campus (Gainesville, FL)
The University of Florida (UF) Department of Epidemiology seeks diligent, detail-oriented individuals to function as OPS Study Interviewers. UF currently serves as the coordinating center for the National Drug Early Warning System (NDEWS), which uses several approaches to provide real-time surveillance to detect early signals of drug use trends. One important effort is Rapid Street Reporting (RSR), which involves conducting anonymous surveys at 17 sentinel sites and additional hotspots. This allows us to see what substances people are currently using in different parts of the country, as well as any adverse effects people may be experiencing. NDEWS is looking for individuals to assist with the RSR effort on location over multiple weekend periods. Those who have experience with interviewing are strongly encouraged to apply. Must be dependable and willing to engage with diverse populations. • Approach individuals in multiple cities at outdoor and indoor locations. • Obtain verbal consent for anonymous survey on use and knowledge of approximately 100 substances. • Remain available for questions during survey self-administration via electronic tablet. • Participate in all training sessions.
Research Regulatory Analyst II 11200000 - RE-IACUC Main Campus (Gainesville, FL)
The Research Regulatory Analyst II position is a highly responsible role, which reports to the Research Regulatory Manager for the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) office. The IACUC is composed of scientists, non-scientists, and unaffiliated community members who review and oversee the ethical use of animals in research and teaching at UF, under the rules and regulations of the USDA, NIH/OLAW and other entities dedicated to safeguarding animal welfare. The University of Florida’s IACUC reviews animal research conducted at the Health Center, the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and IFAS. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop, implement and lead the Post Approval Monitoring (PAM) program across campus. This position is one of two PAM coordinators in the IACUC office. Additionally, the incumbent will be cross-trained in various post-approval duties and staff areas within the IACUC to ensure coverage during periods of increased workload, and various staffing needs. Cross training within the IACUC also aims to provide flexibility to process modifications, enhance process efficiency and compliance.

They may additionally assist the Books and Cooks educator with setup and cleanup before and after class.
