The Research Coordinator II herein described will contribute to processes and efficiencies in a muscle biology and therapeutics laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics with demands for supporting regulatory compliance and overall laboratory logistics. Responsibilities will include ensuring the uninterrupted flow of operations in the laboratory by overseeing laboratory compliance with federal and state agencies, as well as institutional regulatory offices (EHS, IBC, IACUC), including submitting protocols and modifications to protocols to support the demands of the research projects. Related to supporting operations, the Research Coordinator II will also support training and onboarding of lab personnel in ensuring such compliance. They will also promote lab efficiency by supporting business management within the laboratory including ordering materials, and following-through with procedures required of the University to document and reconcile those transactions. They will also be integral for the direction of lab personnel to aid in experiments, including through training lab personnel in proper methods, equipment use, and the support of record keeping.
