This position is responsible for the day-to-day information technology (“IT”) operations at the Emerging Pathogens Institute (“EPI”). The candidate provides customer service, technical support, software testing, and user training as required by EPI. The incumbent will also: administer, maintain, and distribute software applications and updates for software to all Institute workstations; support, configure, and maintain computer hardware, printers, and related peripherals; develop and maintain specialized software solutions for projects as needed, as IT needs in the research field are constantly evolving. The incumbent is the backup to the IT Manager and will be on call as necessary. This position reports directly to the IT Manager position and co-manages all server infrastructure with the IT Manager.

This role helps ensure the smooth functioning of the SAI office by helping with a variety of tasks, including proctoring for students with accommodations, performing clerical duties, and assisting with event organization.
