The Student Engagement team within the Division of Student Life at the University of Florida consists of the Offices of Campus Engagement, Community & Belonging, Sorority & Fraternity Life, Student Legal Services, and Administrative Services. The Office of Community & Belonging serves as the hub for student leaders, student organizations, campus events, and a variety of programs and spaces that help students find and build community. The Associate Director described is primarily responsible directly leading a team of full-time and part-time staff in programs and initiatives that help students find and build community within the Gator Nation. This position is responsible for leading staff meetings for their respective area, overseeing administrative functions, and serving in place of the Director when required. Overall, this area is tasked with putting forward programs that promote experiential learning, community engagement including with alumni and related opportunities advising and mentoring students, providing support services for registered student organizations, and working to advance the co-curricular and experiential learning opportunities for our students within the university community. As an integral member within the Student Engagement team, this role works to enhance the student experience and provide a variety of opportunities that promote an individualized excellent student experience for every Gator. This position reports to the Director of the Office of Community & Belonging.
