| UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a talented and highly motivated, part-time Agentic AI Platform Intern to join the Infrastructure and Communication Technology, a unit within UFIT for 2026 (Spring, Summer and Fall 2026 semesters). This paid internship is designed to provide students currently enrolled in college with an opportunity to learn practical skills and gain experience to propel them into a successful career in Information Technology.

This internship is within the Artificial Intelligence & Platform Engineering (AIPE) team which is tasked with providing enterprise artificial intelligence capabilities and building platforms while ensuring high availability and reliability of campus services. Competitive candidates will have a strong understanding of GenAI concepts, agentic AI frameworks, and prompt optimization techniques. You'll work closely with our team to build AI agents and ensure they are effective while maintaining accuracy and performance. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in artificial intelligence while contributing to meaningful projects such as NaviGator AI. |

Based in Ayers Medical Plaza, the UFIT Communications Support team consists of four experienced infrastructure technicians and one Customer Service Representative. Together, they manage and support the comprehensive Cisco VoIP phone network across campus and within UF Health, along with analog devices, voice gateways (VGs), and essential emergency notification equipment, including classroom speakers, elevator phones, and all Blue Light Emergency phones on campus. The team also supports UF REC sites off-campus, collectively maintaining approximately 23,000 devices. |

The UFIT Data Center and Logistics team is responsible for maintaining all the university’s data center and communication infrastructure building facilities, including HVAC, building power, and building maintenance, fleet management, procurement assistance, and inventory control.
Student interns are expected to participate in all team responsibilities. This position will primarily report to the Space Science and Research Building on main campus, with additional work duties at the UF Data Center located on UF’s East Campus on Waldo Rd. (State vehicle are used when needed). Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs. A minimum of 12 hours per week is requested, with maximum of 20. |
