The Library Facilities Planning Department (LFPD) is responsible for all facility planning, construction, maintenance, security, signage, accountable property, office supply distribution, and a system-wide mail and courier service for the Smathers Libraries, which include seven facilities with over 350,000 square feet of building space. The Facilities Assistant helps manage the day-to-day operations of the department and assists with building maintenance by responding to the needs of all branches, and storage facilities, as well as individual library offices. Triages facilities work orders, ensuring the timely and satisfactory completion of requested work. Addresses maintenance problems, performing support functions to keep the library operate in a consistent and seamless manner. Assists with the mail collection and distribution for the Libraries.

The Fellow will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of projects that support our clinical, education, and research missions. The Fellow will have exposure to many business areas including clinical operations, finance, strategic planning, and provider productivity across the department’s many clinical areas including the operating room environment and clinics. They will have a high level of autonomy and impact and are a key stakeholder in the overall prioritization and execution of departmental strategies with a focus on operational, financial, and clinical excellence. This GMP Cell Processing Manufacturing Technician in the Department of Neurosurgery supports GMP-compliant cell therapy production by performing aseptic processing activities such as culture, expansion, cryopreservation, thawing, and formulation, while adhering to strict cleanroom and contamination-control standards. The role includes preparing materials, equipment, and reagents to ensure efficient manufacturing workflows and product integrity. It also requires maintaining accurate and compliant documentation in alignment with cGMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP), including batch records, logbooks, and deviation and change control reports. Additionally, the technician conducts quality control and analytical testing—such as flow cytometry, ELISA, endotoxin assays, and Gram staining—and analyzes and documents results to ensure product quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance, while supporting overall manufacturing operations.
