The Administrative Assistant I, herein described, reports directly to the Manager-Health Administration of Oral Diagnostic Sciences. He/she provides primary transcription and other related functions for the Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology Services. These functions include input of biopsy report daily into a specialized computer program, process final reports by printing. faxing and mailing reports to each doctor's daily (over 400 per week), maintain all biopsy report with demographics, print and maintain all log-books, print labels to mail biopsy kits to doctors, enter patient information in Axium and adding medical insurance and demographic information and prepare charge sheets to add financial charges to patient account.

The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Laboratory Technician II to join the Preston A. Wells, Jr. Center for Brain Tumor Immunotherapy Program (UFBTIP). The candidate will play a key role in conducting neuroscience experiments both in vivo and in vitro, including animal surgeries, behavioral studies, cell culture, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry. Additional responsibilities include maintaining research databases, overseeing laboratory operations such as budgeting and compliance, and training undergraduate assistants and volunteers. The incumbent is responsible for medical education, patient care, and research activities for the neurosurgical specialties at the Shands Hospital, at UF. The Clinical Service Representative III acts as an administrative assistant to a department faculty member(s) in managing their clinical practice and that office's academic and administrative functions.
