Classification Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:
  • Literature review and background research
  • Data analysis (qualitative and/or quantitative)
  • Data collection (interviews, surveys, chart review, etc.) 
  • Manuscript and report preparation
  • Regulatory and administrative support (e.g., IRB, study documentations)
  • Team meetings and project coordination 
Expected Salary:

$17 - $20

Required Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:
  • Master’s Degree
  • Background or interest in one of the following: Epidemiology/public health, data science.
  • Experience with data analysis and collection
  • Understanding of patient population to create rapport and a relationship, while also giving insight to what is realistic and appropriate for patient participation.
  • Knowledge of UF and departmental policies for dealing with reimbursement, guidelines for research, confidentiality and Health Information and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations, following the UF mission statement and purpose for research, and a clear understanding of policies and procedures on patient safety and confidentiality (electronic and hard copy medical records, patient charts, communication, etc.)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, research policies and guidelines, guidelines for packing/shipping infectious substances, database building/analysis, and data management within some of the following: Access, Stata, SASS/ SPSS, R, and Teleform programming platforms
  • Passion for healthcare research, particularly cancer research
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
  • Experience engaging healthcare providers and patients
