The Data Scientist II plays a central role in advancing biomedical informatics research, with a primary focus on VA- and NIH-funded studies leveraging large-scale electronic health record (EHR) and related real-world data. This position will collaborate on multidisciplinary research projects, working within a team to develop and implement advanced data analytics and statistical methodologies to address complex health outcomes. Responsibilities include contributing to study design, developing data extraction queries, data quality assessment tools, and data processing methods to general data sets for research studies. This work includes EHR data curation, analysis, and interpretation, as well as supporting the preparation of research proposals for external funding. The Data Scientist II is also expected to disseminate findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences, working closely with project leads while exercising a high degree of independent scientific judgment. |
