| The University of Florida, Division of Pediatric Nephrology is seeking a faculty member to join an active and collegial group to serve as Division Chief. The division provides inpatient services at Shand’s Children’s Hospital, ranked #1 Children’s Hospital in Florida in the 2022-2023 U.S. News & World Report. Our pediatric nephrology program provides services to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with all forms of acute and chronic congenital and acquired kidney diseases. Our team offers expertise in the care of young children with renal failure and patients with complex renal abnormalities who require dialysis and transplantation. These include infants, children, and adolescents with a variety of bladder and kidney problems, patients with hypertension and electrolyte abnormalities, and the assessment of pregnant women carrying a fetus with a renal abnormality noted on ultrasound. Physicians over the entire tri-state area call for consultations, as do the faculty of the University of Florida Health Science Center who need joint consultative care of the complex pediatric problems. Additionally, UF Health Pediatrics has a history of educational excellence and promoting research interests. The division chief will be responsible for cultivating an environment that advances the strong clinical, research, and educational missions of UF Health. |

This position is an excellent opportunity for a physician scientist passionate about advancing the field of aortic genetics research and treatment while also playing a powerful role in all aspects of this program including the identification of previously unrecognized genetic variants. This position will focus primarily on patients with aortic conditions including heritable aortic disease, connective tissue disorders such as Marfan Syndrome, Loeys-Dietz Syndrome, and Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, as well as other genetic variants.

| AI for the University of Florida Genetics Institute
The University of Florida (UF) is embarking on a campus-wide strategic initiative to hire clusters of faculty members with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), broadly defined. As part of this initiative, the Genetics Institute (UFGI) in partnership with the UF College of Pharmacy is seeking qualified applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position focusing on applying chemical genomic/medicinal chemistry methodologies to nuclear hormone receptors as well as other target classes (via interaction with the Center for Natural Products, Drug Discovery and Development) with utilization of AI /structure-based drug design. Individuals in this position would also be expected to teach in the College of Pharmacy PharmD/PhD curriculum (<25% effort).
This position will be filled at the Assistant or Associate faculty level in the UFGI. Ranking is commensurate with education and experience. |
