| As a senior biological scientist, the incumbent will provide significant biological experience to the research program of Professor Nian Wang in the area of microorganisms and plant interactions, how they cause citrus diseases such as citrus HLB and canker, study of the virulence mechanism (e.g., effectors) of Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus and other projects assigned by supervisor, and how to control the citrus HLB. The incumbent will contribute to the design and execution of laboratory, greenhouse, and field experiments to investigate the virulence mechanism of Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (Las) and develop strategies for controlling citrus HLB. |
