| This This is a full-time (40 hours per week) laboratory technician position working at the UF/IFAS Florida Medical Entomology Laboratory (https://fmel.ifas.ufl.edu). The position is based on a 38-acre campus, with native coastal habitat. This role is a hands-on lab and field technician position with a strong mix of lab management, mosquito research, molecular biology techniques, and supervision of junior personnel, requiring both technical skills and operational coordination. The workload will be split evenly between two laboratories (approximately 20 hours per week each). Provide substantial technical and operational support within both labs. Assist with and help maintain ongoing laboratory processes. Training/supervision of undergraduate and graduate students and lab technicians as part of daily operations. |

An individual in this position must possess excellent communication skills and be proactive in determining the needs of the hospital.
