| The Division of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science within the Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics (HOBI) at the University of Florida (UF) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher with a strong background in biomedical informatics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data science. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and interdisciplinary research team to contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI/ML, real-world data, and health outcomes. Ongoing projects leverage large-scale multimodal clinical data, including electronic health records (EHRs), medical imaging, genomics, wearable devices, and unstructured clinical text, to develop novel methods for disease prediction, precision medicine, and clinical decision support.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biomedical informatics, computer science, data science, biomedical engineering, statistics, or a related STEM field. Experience with EHR data, machine learning or deep learning, natural language processing, medical imaging, or large language models (LLMs) is highly desirable. Familiarity with causal inference, real-world evidence, multimodal data integration, or cloud/high-performance computing is a plus.
The Postdoctoral Researcher will collaborate closely with biomedical informaticians, clinicians, statisticians, and translational researchers across the University of Florida. Responsibilities include developing and evaluating AI/ML methods, analyzing large-scale clinical datasets, building computational tools and software, preparing manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals, presenting research at scientific conferences, and contributing to NIH and other federal grant proposals. These positions support the Crime and Justice component of our program in Criminology & Law. We seek scholars who study the practice and implementation of criminal and/or juvenile justice systems, for example, local, state, and/or Federal law enforcement, courts, sentencing and/or corrections, capital punishment, juvenile programming and prevention. Applicant research programs can emphasize theory development, methodological applications (quantitative, qualitative and/or mixed), and/or policy analysis (including program evaluation).
We seek applicants whose records show commitment to rigorous scholarship with the promise of external funding, as well as excellence in teaching. The ability to contribute significantly to graduate education and the mentoring of graduate students is highly desirable. Advanced assistant professors are welcome to apply.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach in their topical areas of interest and one or more of our required courses, which include research methods, criminological theory, and/or advanced principles of criminal justice. | A Postdoctoral Associate position in theoretical and computational quantum information science and condensed matter physics is available in the group led by Prof. Haining Pan in the Department of Physics at the University of Florida, starting Fall 2027.
The initial appointment is for two years, renewed annually, and may be extended for a third year contingent upon strong performance, mutual satisfaction, and the availability of funds.
The successful candidate will conduct numerical and theoretical research on quantum computing, AI-accelerated quantum simulation and materials discovery, quantum machine learning, topological quantum materials, and/or related areas.
The successful candidate will have access to HiPerGator, the fastest university-owned supercomputer in the United States (TOP500), including 504 NVIDIA Blackwell B200 GPUs. These resources are provisioned directly through the group's institutional allocation.

| The Department of Physics at the University of Florida invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate to conduct research on topics related to supermassive black hole astrophysics under the mentorship of Prof. Laura Blecha. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and/or interest in modeling gravitational-wave or multi-messenger source populations, the cosmological evolution of black holes and galaxies, or other topics that overlap with the research of Blecha’s group. The preferred start date is August 16, 2027. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in astronomy, physics, or a closely related field at the time of appointment.
The position is renewable annually for two years and may be extended to a third year, subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of funds. A salary of $60,000
