University of Florida’s College of Medicine is launching a new Master’s of Science program in Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical and Health Sciences (AIBHS). This new program, the first of its kind in the southeast and one of the first nationwide, will train the healthcare and biomedical sciences workforce to develop and implement trustworthy artificial intelligence technologies. AIBHS equip students with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to leverage AI's potential in translational biomedical applications and clinical care, including diagnostics, therapeutics, personalized medicine, and healthcare management. Students learn to design and implement various trustworthy AI architectures in domains such as generative AI, large language models, neural networks, and imaging as well as to integrate various types of data to advance research and improve clinical decision making. As a result, AIBHS graduates will be uniquely positioned to rapidly accelerate translational biomedical research, precision medicine, health management, processes, and delivery, and to improve patient care.
